
Start/ finish : Saigon/ Phnom Penh
Day 01: Saigon – Cai Be – Can Tho with max 42.4 kms Today we begin our cycling journey through the Mekong Delta. After 1 & ½ hour van drive, we start pedaling along the quiet road lined with banana trees, passing endless fruit farms and palm-shaded villages. Following the paved roads, our bike ride leads us to the little town of Cai Be where we board a private sampan and cruise the waterways of the Mekong River. Lunch with local specialties is served aboard while the boat is crossing the mighty river. Continue another hour drive to get to the riverside resort in Can Tho. This evening we dine at a local restaurant serving local specialties.
Day 2: Can Tho loop – 20km After breakfast we’ll take a 30-minute van drive to My Khanh garden for the ride looping the countryside of Can Tho. We’ll cycle along the riverbanks and shady paved roads surrounded by untouched farming and fishing communes. Our ride continues through the Khmer ethnic peaceful village where we’ll see many beautiful Buddhist temples and smiling kids. The Can Tho loop ride ends at the t with busy road and we take the van transfer to the central city for lunch. Followed by a walking tour of the central area with visit to the Theravada Buddhism Monastery. Balance of the day is at the pool or a massage. Dinner is at a riverside restaurant
Day 03: Can Tho – Chau Doc (39.5km short and 63.5km long options) Today we travel deeper into the Delta. We’ll cycle along the riverbanks and shady paved roads surrounded by untouched farming and fishing communes. Our ride continues through the Khmer ethnic peaceful village where we’ll see many beautiful Buddhist temples and smiling kids. Upon finishing the bike ride, we will have a lunch break at a crocodile farm before driving an extra hour to Chau Doc. Arrive Chau Doc in time for a short hike to Sam Mountain . The views from the top are spectacular and you can easily look out over Cambodia border and behold sunset. This evening we enjoy the great dinner at our resort
Day 04: Chau Doc loop (25km short and 40km long options) Today we ride through the scenic terrains of Chau Doc to the westernmost part of Vietnam. We’ll bike along the shady roads to explore the serene and rustic Khmer communes and stop by Ba Chuc town bordering on Cambodia – which displays the Pol Pot’s killing field memorial. Return to Chau Doc via the Mangrove Forest of Tra Su where we take a boat ride to watch birds and wild lotus. Return to the hotel either on 2 wheels or the water.
Day 5: Chau Doc – Phnom Penh (speed boat) After breakfast we catch the Victoria Speed Boat upriver for Phnom Penh, capital city of Cambodia with the world’s wonder of Angkor Wat
